Lincoln Gardens, an affordable elderly housing development, was built on a vacant site in the heart of the Brownsville community within Miami-Dade County. This elderly housing development is the second phase of a master plan to redevelop over nine acres of a Miami-Dade Public Housing site known as Lincoln Gardens. This affordable development will provide elderly residents with high-quality housing and new community service facilities and amenities.

Lincoln Gardens Apartments will consist of four-story buildings with 77 units. The new construction will feature ADA and UFAS accessible units, digital thermostats, energy-efficient appliances, central air conditioning, impact-resistant doors and windows, in-unit washers and dryers, microwave ovens, and in-sink garbage disposals. Amenities will include a fitness center, a business center, a multipurpose room, and access-controlled entry for resident security. All units are designed and developed to the same high-quality standard, regardless of income-level restrictions. Units will be one and two bedrooms for households earning at or below 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Miami-Dade County has awarded $1 million from Surtax funding to the Lincoln Gardens Apartments elderly affordable housing development.
