Chase, the off-spinning all-rounder, showcased his prowess with the ball, securing his second 10-wicket haul in first-class cricket. His exceptional performance included figures of seven for 67 in the second innings, resulting in match figures of 10 for 114.

The Hurricanes, resuming the final day on 98 for one and still trailing by 156 runs, displayed resilience with half-centuries from Mikyle Louis (80), Keacy Carty (69), and Hayden Walsh (60). However, Chase’s relentless spell accounted for all three key batsmen, ultimately limiting Hurricanes to 311 all out in their second innings.

An uncomplicated target of 58 runs for victory

With an uncomplicated target of 58 runs for victory, Barbados Pride’s captain Kraigg Brathwaite led from the front, remaining unbeaten on 30 off 38 balls as Pride sealed their fourth win of the campaign.

Louis played a significant role for Hurricanes, contributing a valiant 80 runs to his team’s total, supported by Carty’s 69. However, Chase’s dominance shattered Hurricanes’ batting line-up, ensuring Pride’s path to victory.

Chase’s exceptional performance, coupled with Brathwaite’s leadership, keeps Barbados Pride firmly in contention for the championship title as they head into the final round of matches next week.

Barbados Pride’s convincing win highlights their dominance in the competition, with Chase emerging as a key figure in their success with his stellar bowling display.
