Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives with BSO’s Threat Management were contacted, and have been investigating the matter.

Six years since the mass shooting incident

This month has marked six years since the tragic events unfolded at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, yet the wounds are still fresh for parents of the victims who are tirelessly advocating for safer schools.

On February 14, 2018, the tranquility of Parkland was shattered as Nikolas Cruz, now 25, unleashed terror, claiming the lives of 17 students and staff members.

The impact of the shooting reverberated not only throughout South Florida but across the nation.

Previously regarded as a haven of serenity by some residents, the community has been jolted by the devastating incident, forever altering its perception.
