had always expressed his desire to rejoin his former teammates, Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets, in Florida. Despite his intentions to make the move during the summer, Suarez was still under contract with the Brazilian side Gremio. However, the 36-year-old’s contract with Gremio, which extended until 2024, contained a release clause, and both Suarez and Inter Miami have chosen to activate it.

Speculation regarding Suarez’s imminent arrival gained momentum last week when head coach Renato Gaucho announced that Suarez had played his final game with the team. The player himself took to social media to bid farewell, stating, “Me and my family want to thank everyone for the love and the unforgettable moments we experienced on Saturday at the Arena Do Gremio.”

Official announcement of his arrival expected to take place in the coming days

Sources have now confirmed that Suarez’s departure from Gremio will be followed by his transfer to Inter Miami. The official announcement of his arrival is expected to take place in the coming days, coinciding with the opening of the Primary Transfer Window on December 11.

The quartet of Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Lionel Messi, and Luis Suarez last shared the pitch together in 2020 while representing FC Barcelona. During their time together, they achieved remarkable success, clinching 10 trophies, including three La Liga titles and three Copa del Rey victories.

Now, these four football stars are set to reunite in Major League Soccer (MLS) with the goal of securing Inter Miami’s first-ever league trophy. The team previously celebrated their first significant achievement by winning the inaugural Leagues Cup tournament in 2023.
