Lowe, who is currently on a season-long loan from English Premier League team Bournemouth, has scored four goals for the Swans this season, including his latest strike in a 3-2 defeat to Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

Despite Lowe’s contributions, Swansea City finds themselves in the 17th position on the Championship table with 19 points, following a challenging start to the new campaign.

Reflecting on his recent performance, Lowe expressed his ambition, saying, “I got a goal and an assist but, being ultra critical, I felt I should have had two goals. But we’ve just got to keep working so these goals and assists count instead of just almost getting us there.”

Third loss in the last five games

Lowe had previously scored in three consecutive games, inspiring Swansea City to victory in all three matches during a four-game winning streak. However, their recent defeat marked their third loss in the last five games, leaving them striving to climb out of the bottom half of the table.

Speaking about the recent match against Ipswich Town, Lowe acknowledged the challenge they faced. “It was a tough game. They’re one of the best teams in the league, they play good football and they can mix it up.”

He also highlighted the need for improvements in the team’s playstyle, stating, “We could have played a bit more. I think they forced us into playing longer and that doesn’t suit us, we don’t have the personnel for that style of play. We started well and went 1-0 up, but the shackles went on at that point. It should be the other way around; you should go 1-0 up and the confidence should be high. That’s something we can work on and do better.”

Despite the challenges, Lowe praised the team’s resilience after going down to 10 men, which sparked a late-game revival. His own brilliant solo effort in stoppage time showcased their determination.
