Haitian American Heritage Month will wrap up in bold, vibrant style this Saturday, May 24, with “Heritage En Couleur: Art & Culture Showcase,” an immersive celebration of Haitian creativity and community at the Island SPACE Caribbean Museum.
Running from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the event promises a rich lineup of art exhibitions, live painting, spoken word, live music, and a community mural project. Visitors will also enjoy a special cultural exhibit and an artist talk featuring some of the showcasing talents.
The celebration highlights the enduring influence of Haitian culture through the arts, with performances from renowned Haitian musicians and spoken word artists. Attendees will be able to shop handmade goods from vendors and artisans and enjoy authentic Haitian food and drink available for purchase.
Organizers say the event is designed to be a multisensory experience — blending visual art, performance, and heritage — and a meaningful close to a month of recognition for the Haitian-American community.
All are invited to come experience “Heritage En Couleur” as Haitian American Heritage Month draws to a festive finale. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
