Dancehall artist Spice riding high with her explosive new single “Eleven”, a scathing diss track aimed at Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta castmate Bambi, but while the track may have been born out of drama, its impact is historic.
Released on April 5, “Eleven” has catapulted to number one on the iTunes Top 100 Reggae Singles Chart, knocking Bob Marley and the Wailers’ classic Three Little Birds down to the number two spot. The feat speaks volumes, but for Spice, it’s familiar territory. The dancehall diva has previously dethroned Marley with her powerful 2018 single Black Hypocrisy and her Captured mixtape — a statement project that asserted her independence and unapologetic stance on colorism, identity, and empowerment.
The track “Eleven” comes as a direct response to Bambi’s own recent diss song of the same title, which dropped earlier last week. In her version, Bambi took lyrical shots not only at Spice but also at fellow castmates Lil Scrappy, Kirk Frost, and Rasheeda, but Spice known enjoy a lyrical battle clapped back harder, lacing her verses with sharp wordplay, bold jabs, and a signature dancehall flair.
Spice’s involvement with Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta dates to Season 6 when she made her first guest appearance. She officially joined the cast in Season 7 (2018), bringing with her the energy, charisma, and controversy that have made her a standout on the VH1 reality series ever since.
While the drama with Bambi may have sparked this lyrical showdown, there’s no denying the musical fire that Spice brings. Fans have rallied behind her in true #TeamSpice fashion, pushing Eleven to the top of the reggae charts in just days and flooding social media with support and reaction videos.
“Besties we global #1 USA Reggae iTunes, #1UK, #1 Canada, #1Bahamas, #1 Antigua and Barbuda. THANK YOU so much for showing out for me. If you haven’t bought the song, you still have time to show “REAL SUPPORT” Spice shared via her Instagram page.
Whether it’s tackling serious social issues or clapping back in lyrical warfare, Spice knows how to command attention and convert controversy into chart-topping success. As “Eleven” continues to trend, it’s clear that Spice has once again flipped the script, proving that in the world of entertainment, she’s still the Queen.
