The Buju Banton x Supreme collaboration was officially released on June 27, 2019. The collaboration which features t-shirts in various colors, some designed signed by Buju Banton was sold out online under five hours of its release. The price range of items is between $44 – $48.
KINGSTON, Jamaica – International streetwear clothing brand Supreme has just officially unveiled teasers for its upcoming collaboration with Jamaican Reggae Superstar Buju Banton.
Supreme, which is a billion-dollar streetwear brand, produces clothing, shoes, accessories and even skateboards. The brand’s distinctive red box logo with “Supreme” in white is one that has been used in ad campaigns, posters, decorative items, among others.
Supreme New York unveiled the visual teasers on June 24 on its Instagram page which has a following of almost 13 million. This collaboration with Banton will be the artist’s first major international deal since his release from prison in 2018.
Over the years, the brand has been known for its major collaborations with sports teams, sneaker retailers, leading jewelers, luxury designers, and French courtiers. Celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Kanye West, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Rihanna, Drake, and a host of others are known to be loyal supporters of the brand.
For Banton, this deal could reposition him not only as a global sensation, but as a marketable Reggae icon.

In terms of his collaboration with Supreme, it remains unclear what products will be included in the collection. In the past, the brand has featured artists’ portraits printed across Supreme tees, which may provide some foresight into Banton’s release.
According to Hypebeast, the brand has yet to unveil the release date for the upcoming collection, nor have they revealed the scope of the partnership.
